Speelklok Museum

Een draaiorgelMany museums are especially your eyes at work: you view such a painting or read an explanation of a showcase. But in the Musical Clock Museum (formerly National Museum from Musical Clock to Street Organ) you also need your ears. The museum has a large collection of carillon clocks, musical boxes, player pianos, street organs and other musical equipment that makes a noise. And are regularly demonstrated.

Famous Dutch artists know Musical Clock Museum also available. Thus, the museum Wouter Hamel developed a music box which he sometimes opens his concerts. And the Utrecht group C-Mon & Kypski once with an organ from the museum are playing on the cathedral square.

Since 2009 the museum also has a restoration studio Light grove, near the Dom tower. Here you can see for yourself how music boxes as Wouter Hamel made.
